Han Mi-kyung (한미경)

Third generation on the Pike. The family import business outlived the Drowning because it was never large enough to be worth taking, and she has run it since her mother's hands went. Twenty years dressing the Lavender Troupe.

Fifties, small, upright. Reading glasses on a beaded chain that was her mother's. Hands that have been pinning fabric for thirty-five years and show it. A cloth tape measure lives around her neck and never comes off — not at dinner, not at a funeral — and she will measure you mid-conversation without asking and without breaking her sentence.

She is not a performer and not an organiser. She is the person who makes sure the show has clothes, and who travels with them.

Address matters. Customers and younger performers say Han sajangnim (사장님). Sable, who has known her two decades, says Mi-kyung.
